Johnny is a former Pentagon spokesperson for U.S. national security policy and former head of strategic communication at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. He brings more than two decades of military and federal experience advising national security leaders.
Why he built SCI
SCI draws on Johnny’s experience in strategic communication and the challenge of aligning an organization’s words and actions in support of its strategic priorities.
Those priorities often depend on independent stakeholders the organization cannot control. Yet the teams responsible for understanding and engaging those stakeholders are distributed across the organization, with critical information held in separate applications, documents and conversations.
Johnny built SCI to help connect strategic priorities to stakeholder actions and the communication, engagement and operational work that affects them, giving teams a shared basis for review.
From experience to product
Before his public affairs career, Johnny worked in advanced electronics, project management and software development. He returned to hands-on development to build SCI, serving as its architect and developing the platform as a solo founder.
Today, he leads Delphic Solutions and its founder-led SCI pilot program, helping participating organizations apply the platform to an agreed strategic priority.
